This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services, either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery. With this qualification, you may be promoted to supervise a limited number of other workers.

Candidates seeking to undertake this course must have:
- National Police Check – on commencement of this course all candidates are required to c complete /have a current National Police Check within 6 months.
- Immunisation Evidence – Students are required to provide current Immunisation evidence prior to enrolment, i.e. influenza and COVID-19 vaccination in line with current Government Health Department guidelines, or a requirement of the employer.
- Course applicants must complete a Literacy, Numeracy (LLN Robot) test to ensure the required language, literacy and numeracy levels are met for the course.
- Pre-training interview with education staff required prior to enrolment.
